OVERVIEW

The Department of ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) at our medical college is dedicated to providing exceptional diagnosis, treatment, and surgical care for disorders related to the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck. The department serves a diverse patient population with comprehensive clinical services that address conditions ranging from common infections and allergies to complex head and neck oncology and reconstructive surgeries.

Academic Programs

The department offers both undergraduate and postgraduate training programs, including:

  • MBBS clinical and theoretical teaching with hands-on OPD and ward exposure.
  • Regular seminars, workshops, and case discussions to keep students and faculty abreast of the latest developments.

  • Well-equipped operation theaters with state-of-the-art microscopes and high-speed stryker drill system.
  • Stryker 4k camera system and endoscopes.
  • Endoscopic instruments including flexible and rigid bronchoscopes, esophagoscopes and sinus endoscopes.
  • Smith and nephew Coblator system.
  • Advanced diagnostic facilities such as audiometry, BERA, OAE tests, and sleep lab.
  • Simulation labs for surgical skill enhancement.
  • Digital recording systems for teaching and documentation.

  • Specialized head and neck cancer surgeries like oral cancer surgeries, laryngectomy, thyroidectomy, parotidectomy.
  • Use of advanced technologies such as endoscopy, microsurgery, and coblation for bloodless procedures like adenoidectomy and tonsillectomy.

FACULTY

Dr. Samneet Saggu
ENT and Head & Neck Surgeon

Dr. Samneet Saggu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of ENT and Head & Neck Surgery with extensive clinical and teaching experience. He completed his MBBS from Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences, followed by an MS in ENT and Head and Neck Surgery from Government Medical College, Haldwani. He further specialized with a fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum.

Dr. Saggu is proficient in a wide range of ENT surgeries including tympanoplasty, ossiculoplasty, mastoidectomy, septoplasty, endoscopic sinus surgery, and endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy. He has expertise in advanced head and neck surgeries such as thyroidectomy, parotidectomy, oncosurgeries including oral cavity cancer surgeries, neck dissections, and reconstructive techniques. He is also skilled in emergency procedures such as tracheostomy, cricothyrotomy, foreign body removal, nasal packing, and nasal fracture reduction.
