The Department of Ophthalmology is committed to delivering comprehensive eye care with compassion, precision, and excellence. DR. N. Z. FAROOQUI
PROFESSOR (Ophthalmology)

Dr. N.Z. Farooqui is a highly accomplished Consultant Ophthalmologist with over 36 years of extensive, clinical, surgical, and academic experience. A pioneer in advanced cataract surgery, he has performed more than 20,000 phacoemulsification procedures using state-of-art technology and premium intraocular lenses, including Multifocal, Trifocal, EDOF, and Toric lenses. His expertise spans across phacoemulsification, premium IOL implantation, manual small incision cataract surgery, glaucoma management (medical and surgical), squint surgeries, oculoplastic procedures and retinal evaluations

Beyond his surgical excellence, Dr. Farooqui has been deeply involved in academics as the former Academic In-Charge at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, Delhi, where he mentored postgraduate students and guided multiple DNB thesis. He continues to contribute to ophthalmic education and research as an examiner, thesis evaluator, faculty member, and reviewer for reputed National Boards of Examination and Ophthalmic Societies.

A distinguished member of leading ophthalmic organizations including AIOC, DOS, ISCKRS, GSI and ACIOIN, Dr. Farooqui has actively participated as faculty chairperson, panellist and speaker at various Ophthalmic meets & conferences. His dedication to patient care, surgical innovation, and teaching has made him a respected name in the field of Ophthalmology.

DR. HIMANI ANCHAL
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (Ophth)
MBBS, MS(Ophth) (Gold Medallist, PGIMS Rohtak)

Dr. Himani Anchal is a dedicated Ophthalmologist with a strong academic background and extensive surgical experience in cataract and anterior segment surgeries. A gold medallist in MS Ophthalmology from PGIMS Rohtak (2018), she has performed over 2,000 phaco-emulsification surgeries and more than 1,000 SICS procedures, making her a confident cataract surgeon.

She has served as a Senior Resident at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, Delhi, followed by academic and clinical roles as Senior Resident and Assistant professor at Rama Medical College, Hapur. She is currently working as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Maharaj Agrasen Sat Narain Gupta Hospital, Bahadurgarh.

Dr. Anchal has contributed to Ophthalmic research through presentations at national conferences and publications in reputed journals on topics such as intraocular pressure management after cataract surgery, neovascular glaucoma and XEN Gel Stent for Glaucoma.

She is actively involved in continuous medical education and has attended several national conferences and workshops to stay updated with the latest advancements in Ophthalmology. With her blend of surgical expertise, academic contributions, and patient-centred care, Dr. Himani Anchal is committed to providing comprehensive Eye Care with compassion and precision.
